A letter to Lynn's kids

I'm posting the letter my students wrote to the students from Lynn's Kids School.

"Hello, dear students of Lynn's school,
We are students from class 8 b and we just started our school. We had our first lesson where our teacher Tamara Natanovna told us about your school. She told us about the civil war in your country and about poverty. We felt sorry for you.
We liked to hear that you want to learn and make a difference. We wish all of you could go to such a wonderful school like ours. Here we learn different subjects like Mathematics, Russian, Literature, Geography, History, Biology, English, Chemistry, Physics, Social Studies, Computer Technology, P.E., World Culture. There is a library in our school and we can borrow books there. There is a canteen where we have lunch. There is a museum which we are proud of.We have different studios and we can develop our talents in art, drama, dancing and singing, in sports and crafts. We would like to hear from you. Did you start your school? What subjects are you going to study? How many students are there in your class?

Best wishes,
Students of 8b
gymnasium "Harmony"

  2. Dear Tamara and students,
I enjoyed reading about your school and seeing here your smiling faces. It's wonderful to see your group in Russia connecting with a class so far away from you. This is the best way to learn about the world and make new friends. Can't wait to read Lynn's Kids response. :-)
The school where I work is in Slovenia. It's a college where students go after secondary school to study informatics, mechatronics or countryside management.
Sometimes we blog at http://rostilj.blogspot.com/ - I like blogging and think this is a great way to make new friends.
    Warm regards from Slovenia

  4. Hi dear Saša,
Glad you joined Alu's blog. Thank you for your comments. Yeah, it's a wonderful opportunity for my kids to learn more about children in Africa and share with them their school life and activities. It's just the beginning of our communication on the blog, and we hope it will motivate our students to learn more about each other and become friends.
Oh I loved your blog at first...site (LOL! forgive the homophone!) Need more time to explore it next time and comment too.

    Warmly,
    Tamara
