Hearts For Hunger
By Lynn Rosen
Such a beautiful day the streets are aglow
People shuffling to and fro
Yet the hungry are oh so weak
Do they even have the energy to speak?
Listen to their suffering and don't delay
Look to help ,show them the way
Offer food ,shelter and show them you care
They are fighting a terrible battle and we must be aware
Let's help the world one brick at a time
Give your heart for hunger because turning away is a crime
Dear Lynn,
ReplyDeleteYour poem is very point and clear,
they are struggling and screambulling on how they should find survival for a day their eyes is deem and blue because there is no food for them to eat.

Dear Alusine,
ReplyDeleteI am glad that the students felt what I was writing.I wrote it for them. They are struggling and I want them to know that others are, too.Hunger defeats us and weakens us.When I was teaching them in July I could feel their understanding. They live this and the poetry is to show them that I not only have compassion but hope to help.Education is the key.So let's keep opening the door of learning.
