World Food Day is on October 17.This is the day to fight global hunger. We must attack hunger
as if it was our enemy.It is a formidable enemy.Do you know that more than 845,000 people are hungry.Not all of them are homeless.Some of them can afford a place to live but no food to put on the table.We have governments unwilling to help .The time is now.Organize your students.There are many projects they can participate in.Here are examples:
1.T -shirts for hunger-Have them design shirts with hunger facts on each shirt.Let them sell them in a shopping area.
2.Clothing Drive-Have students collect old clothing and give it to those in need.
3.Senior Centers-Our seniors brought us here.Let's show them we appreciate it.
4.Prepare food for the poor.Give a meal to someone who is in need.
All of these activities will teach our students to give back to the country they love.
